Epilog - Monday, 1/22 Kelli and Mike had breakfast of cruise leftovers in their room before heading out to see town and shop. We found a stationary store near the hotel where we could buy bubble wrap to pack bottles of rum in checked luggage. With the airline's new 3 ounce liquid rule, you can't carry on bottles of liquor on the way home. Packing glass is soft sided duffle bags is risky. Off in search of gifts and to check out other chartering companies in Road Town. Eventually we ended up at the Fort Burt marina. We had lunch at The Pub on the water. Fort Burt... Then we stopped at TMM Charters. The Tortola Yacht Club is next door... Back in town the final stop was Pussers for rum gifts. Within a block of our hotel before it started raining. After the shower, we walked the Village Cay docks to check out the yachts and huge catamarans. The hotel offered internet service, so we checked email for the first time since leaving Richmond. More relaxing and cocktailing in the room as we watched the marina activity. Locals recommended the restaurant C&F for dinner. C&F was near the Moorings base so we took a taxi. We had a nice dinner and then it was back to the hotel to pack. Set the alarm for 4:30 a.m. to catch a 5:30 a.m. taxi to the airport. Tuesday, 1/23 The taxi was on time and the flights were all on time. We flew Road Town to San Juan, San Juan to Dallas, Dallas to San Francisco. The bubble wrap and a lot of dirty clothes protected all the rum. Our tans were definitely noticed by friends when we returned to winter in California. For Kelli and Mike, this trip was especially wonderful since it was their first time to relax since they completed their 2 year, new home construction on December 8.
